The New England Centenarian Study and the
Einstein Longevity Genes Project and LonGenity studies
are enrolling 1,400 centenarians and their offspring,
collecting detailed phenotype data and biological samples
for multi-omic and macrobiomic studies.
Participants also undergo a comprehensive assessment of their cognitive function to determine presence or absence of probable Alzheimer’s.
The phenotyping protocol is the same as that used by the
Longevity Consortium’s Centenarian Project and the
Long Life Family Study, to foster collaboration and data aggregation from these different studies.
A world-class multidisciplinary team is planning the multi-omics data generation and analytic and translation efforts to be conducted in the next phase of this project.
