Our researchers are seeking to answer the age-old question: What is the key to a long life?

We are actively enrolling individuals ages 100 and older (centenarians), as well as their siblings, children, nieces and nephews, who can help researchers identify the secrets to healthy longevity.

A major goal of this research study is to find genetic and biological components that allow some individuals and families to live exceptionally long and healthy lives. Remarkably, studies show that individuals with longevity do not only live long, but also delay or escape age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and stroke.

We enroll participants from across the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii).

Participation in the study includes:

  • Collection of a small blood sample. A blood sample is required to participate.
  • Questionnaires about your health, lifestyle, and your family tree
  • Evaluation of memory and physical ability
  • Collection of a stool sample, to learn about the different types of bacteria in your gut, and how they might play a role in healthy aging

All study information is collected remotely, either by phone or video, with the exception of the blood and stool samples.

Our team takes precautions related to COVID-19, with participant safety in mind.

There are no costs to you, and you do not need to travel anywhere to be in the study.
